Don Dejardin
Don DesJardin resides in Ventura, California. He became interested in photography as a hobby while in his early teens, and purchased his first 35mm camera when he was 14. In the early 1990s he developed an interest in birds and birding and soon became hooked on photographing birds as well. His photographs are excellent,particularly his eye for careful composition. Don easily made the adaptation from 35mm camera to digital video....and Don's eye for creative composition is apparent in his excellent video work for Hummingbirds of North America.
Don also is credited with some of the great gull images in another Advanced Birding Video Series, The Small Gulls of North America. Examples of some of Don's bird photographs can be seen at his website http://jabiru.org/birdsdesjardin/index.jsp
